My therapy treatment approach for individuals is primarily Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), challenging expectations and self-talk, and investigating patterns to understand yourself better, determine your goals, and help achieve them. Couples therapy’s approach is Gottman Method Couples Therapy (GMCT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

The Gottman Method is an approach to couples therapy that includes a thorough assessment of the couple’s relationship. The Gottman Connect Relationship Check-up Questionnaire incorporates assessment and evidence-based research interventions from the Sound Relationship House Theory. The couple’s goals of the Gottman Method are to disarm negative communication, increase affection, connection and closeness, decrease arguments and conflict, increase sexual intimacy, establish respect for one another, and create compassion and mutual understanding within the couple’s relationship.

I focus on educating the client or couple, utilizing their strengths, and providing techniques to overcome existing conflicts. My goal is not to diagnose you but to improve your life and relationships while developing skills to manage future concerns independently.
