I have been sick for the last week and a half. It started out with a sore throat for a few days, and now I have a sore throat and a cough and my voice is usually shot by the middle of the day. I had a cold just like this about 2 months ago sad

Yesterday during my coop (at the hospital) I was asked to make some phone calls to a few patients and the lady who had asked me to make the calls didn't know I was sick. I was going to ask to do something else instead because of my voice but I didn't really want to make a big deal out of it so I dialed the first number and spoke with the person for a couple minutes. My voice was really hoarse and I knew I sounded terrible. As soon as I hung up, the lady who asked me to call said "Why are you here? Go home. We don't want you here," and she was kind of laughing at me tongue Then as I was getting up to leave she said "Come on, I'M not even that dedicated!"

I knew I shouldn't have gone in that sick, but I didn't want to lose hours for coop so I sucked it up. I'm at home right now, which is the time I should be at coop, so at least they know I'm not faking right now. I always feel like people think I'm faking sick when I call in somewhere. I don't know why.

Good news! My Bella Bracelet came in a couple weeks ago! You can order one here. And they do accept Paypal. I ordered the original bracelet, not the deluxe, because it's like Bella's. The deluxe one has three extra stones hanging from it; two to represent Edward's eyes and one that represents the colour of Jacob when he's in his wolf form. But I figured the whole point of me buying the bracelet was because it would be just like Bella's in Eclipse, so that's why I chose the original.

I also have a new favourite TV show! The Office!
I just finished watching the third season a few minutes ago on DVD. I plan on buying the 4th season and I don't know what to do about the season that's airing now >.<
I'll probably just wait and buy that one, too.

p.s.
I am in love with Jim Halpert. But not as much as I am with Edward, just to be clear.

Twilight Movie.. & other random points of interest

I saw Twilight at an advanced screening on Thursday the 20th.
It. Was. Amazing.
Warning: Twilight movie spoilers below.

I liked how they added a bit of a twist to the story, but still kept it relatively close to the book.
One of my favourite scenes was when the Cullen family was making dinner for Bella and Rose says "Is she even Italian?" and Emmett replied "Duh! Her name's Bella."
=))=))
I love Emmett. I love how he kind of dressed like a gangster. The look suits his personality.
Everytime Jasper was on screen I laughed. "The one who always looks like he's in pain is Jasper." =))
& when Bella first walks into the classroom and sits next to Edward, he looks like he's going to puke. And she checks to see if she smells okay =))
Basically, I loved the whole movie.

My mom's boyfriend's (his name is Lawrence) father passed away a couple nights ago. I never met him, but I really feel bad for Lawrence. I can imagine how hard it must be for him. I don't know what I would ever do without my dad. I'd probably starve. And live in a broken house.

I have also created a list of books I would like to read in the next 6 months. There's well over 40 books on the list, but some are whole series. I'm addicted to reading right now. I used to read so much when I was younger, then I never had time until I read Twilight. I pretty much just made time for it LOL

You know what I hate? When people say "Don't be nervous!"
Like, okay I won't be! biggrin
Instead, why don't they say something useful like "I'm sure you'll do a great job - have confidence and don't forget to ________."

Three Days!

That's right.

Three days from now and I will be watching Twilight. I'm going to a theater that will be showing it at 10PM on Thursday night, instead of Friday. Be jealous.

I'm re-reading all of the books before then, though. I'm just about finished New Moon.

I also want to apologize to my affies - I know I've been terrible lately and I haven't returned any comments, but I've been so busy offline that I couldn't find the time. That is the same reason why I haven't blogged in a long time, too.

I just received the most exciting news in my life. EVER!

On November 15th, some of the Twilight cast are coming to MuchMusic! And I was invited to go with my friend! OME! (For those of you who aren't aware, that means "Oh my Edward!")
So 14 days until that. And 19 days until the movie!

Annnd. My ex, who broke up with me in April and started dating my friend 3 days later, was dumped by her a couple days ago. biggrin
She told me that he was telling her he wanted to get married and have kids and all that with her. shock
I'd be backing away from him, too, if any guy ever told me that.

And on that same note, I'm kind of seeing someone. He's a guy from school who is in my coop class. It's nothing serious, but it's something.

I had an excellent birthday. cheerful
I got 3 goldfish from my dad and money from everyone else in my family. My friends all got me clothes, and some other amazing things.

I'm getting my wisdom teeth out on Monday. I'm kind of excited, as weird as that sounds. They've been hurting me a lot lately so I just want them out of there. And I get to miss 2 days of school & work. cheerful

My birthday is in 2 days! cheerful

I've been working on a new layout, but it might be a few days before I put it up because I still have to master image mapping weird

I'm bidding on a couple things on eBay, one of them being a Twilight calendar! I also really want the Bella Bracelet. It's supposed to look exactly like the one described in the book. I just bought 20 iron on transfer sheets for making t-shirts, so I'm going to make one that says "Blondes may have more fun, but Edward prefers brunettes!" on the front and "TEAM EDWARD" on the back.

I'm so excited! biggrin

& it's the long weekend in Canada because we have Thanksgiving tomorrow. So I'll be celebrating two Thanksgivings tomorrow as well as my birthday.

When I went to coop on Friday, my supervisor had a KitKat bar on her desk with a sticky note that said "Happy Birthday Lindsay! :)" and she told about 5 people in there that it was my birthday in a few days because everyone wished me a happy birthday =))

Well, that's about all the news I have for today.

Oh, wait! 39 days til the Twilight movie is in theatres! cheerful

First off, new Twilight av! Thanks RainOnMe.org!

Second of all, I've been helping out with a new online magazine, called Yes! Magazine. I edit all the articles and I also write one article per month. Click here to see the magazine! We are moving to WordPress for the next issue, so I'll post the link for that when it's finished.

Thirdly, my cold is almost gone! cheerful
I've still got a cough and a runny nose. I've been coughing up phlegm all day - ick! But my sore throat is gone. Actually, that's a lie. My throat got sore again just from coughing so much. depressed

This cold has gotten me addicted to tea. I drank lots of tea while I was sick. Lately, my diet has also consisted of lots of yogurt and soup. I guess I figure that's all I'm going to be able to eat when I get my wisdom teeth out, so I'd better get used to it now! wink
I go through phases when it comes to food. Lately I've been drinking a lot of milk (which has made my nails noticeably stronger! cheerful). I used to hate milk. Same thing goes for mashed potatoes. I hated them when I was younger, then I started liking them only with gravy. And now I'll eat them with or without gravy. *shrugs*

Questions!
1. Have you read Twilight?
2. Did you see the magazine? If not, go now! wink
3. What's your favourite food?
